Start in High School... Get a Jump on College

Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Mt. Joy offers several Advanced Manufacturing programs including Mechatronics and Robotics. Through dual-enrollment arrangements, high school students may complete these programs and obtain college credit at the same time. High school students enrolled in AM/IST classes may qualify for special scholarships at Reading Area Community College if they choose to pursue the AAS in Mechatronics Engineering Technology.

The 2+2+2 education format, gives students the option of completing a segment of study in high school, entering the military or the workforce, returning to the community college, taking another break for work, and continuing at a university without loss of time or credits. Students may find that employers will fund part time university programs through tuition assistance. The 2+2+2 is intended to provide maximum flexibility to meet each individual student's unique needs.
